The "Cosmetic dentistry" unit
Cosmetic dentistry includes all the techniques for having nice teeth. Beautiful teeth are often the expression of a certain social status. In our society in which appearance is so important, it is a crucial asset in facilitating social and professional relationships as well as strengthening self-esteem.
Full smile rehabilitation
Tooth loss affects large numbers of people. It is estimated that 11 million people in France are edentulous, of which 5 million people have no teeth at all. Full smile rehabilitation consists of restoring the teeth as a whole by replacing missing teeth with artificial teeth.
Located near the Champs-Elysées, the Clinic offers all patients treatments suited to their needs, while benefiting from unique cutting edge dental technology in France.
Patients who wish to use dental implants benefit from very prompt attention. They will be able to benefit from a full service in a single day.
- The consultation with a dental surgeon who sets up a treatment plan.
- The dental imaging with a 3D scanner (Cone Beam) which does not radiate much for reducing doses of radiation by more than 90% compared to a traditional dental scanner.
- The dental surgery unit for placing the implants.
- The laboratory designs the latest generation implants on the computer. It is possible to manufacture the prosthetic implants within a period of 24 hours to 48 hours. For their comfort, the patient leaves with a temporary implant.
Treatment for anxiety
In case of complete rehabilitation of the teeth, we offer anxious people the opportunity to be operated on under general anaesthetic. There is then a prior consultation with an anaesthetist, who is present on the day of the procedure, and the patient spends a night in the clinic.
Another alternative is MEOPA gas, a kind of relaxing gas which allows the patient to be in a kind of daze and be able to follow the procedure without any stress.
Replacing all of the teeth
The reasons why people are without teeth are varied: poor oral hygiene, an accident or assault, disease, old age, etc.
Tooth loss is a great handicap from a functional point of view, especially for eating or speaking.
An edentulous person becomes withdrawn, smiles less or hides their mouth with their hands to conceal the gaps when they speak. Discouraged by their condition, they often let the situation continue until an advanced stage of disrepair.
Poor oral hygiene
Poorly maintained teeth deteriorate progressively over the years. Originally confined to one, two or three teeth, tooth loss eventually affects the entire mouth. The only solution is to remove the remaining teeth which are no longer healthy and restore the whole dentition.
Tooth loss following an accident or assault
It is not unusual to have to completely restore a dentition when a person has suffered an accident or been assaulted and the teeth of upper and lower jaws have been severely damaged.
The increase in life expectancy leads to an increase in the number of people without teeth. From the age of 60 years, only 10% of the population have an intact dentition and nearly 10 million people wear removable appliances. In addition to having many functional disadvantages, dentures convey an outdated image which does not correspond to the spirit of older people nowadays. These people are increasingly opting for the solution of dentures on implants which are more stable and comfortable.
Certain diseases (mouth cancer, inflammation of the heart valves) can lead to total tooth loss if no particular attention is paid to the teeth.
A dental implant is an artificial root made of titanium which is put in the place of a non-existing or severely damaged tooth whose root has previously been extracted. A ceramic crown is subsequently placed on the implant.
History of implants
In the 50s, Professor Per Ingvar Brånemark had the idea of developing an artificial titanium root designed to support a prosthesis. Titanium, unlike other materials, has the advantage of being totally biocompatible with living bone in the jaw.
The first commercial use titanium dental implants began in the early 80s with the creation of the Nobel Biocare company.
Quality dentures on implants
We only use premium materials :
- Implants made by the Swedish brand Nobel Biocare.
- White ceramic Zirconiaen dentures, the top of the range in terms of gingival adaptation and aesthetics.
A proven technique
Implantology is now an established method in terms of solidity and durability.
It is used to treat a large number of cases of tooth loss, even the most complex ones when the person is completely edentulous.
More and more people are using this technique because of the benefits it brings :
- The implants make the teeth feel natural. All of the essential functions are present again: the smile aesthetics, the chewing function and maintenance of the facial features.
- The implants prevent the jawbone from be absorbed, keeping the situation stable in the long-term.
Cosmetic smile rehabilitation
Years after the Americans, the French are discovering the importance of a perfect smile. Having white and perfectly aligned teeth gives off an attractive and positive self-image. If people don't like their smile, they no longer hesitate to improve it, even in adulthood.
Restoring the aesthetics of the smile
Dental veneers are one of the smile cosmetic rehabilitation techniques in which the results are the most impressive.
The veneer is a porcelain covering which partially or fully hides the visible part of an anterior tooth. It can be used to conceal certain defects such as the colour, texture, shape, internal stains or position of the teeth.
Using an innovative approach that comes from the United States, the dental surgeon no longer simply corrects an isolated defect but beautifies all of the teeth at once. He thus creates a completely new smile, which is more regular and shining with whiteness.
The patient then displays perfect teeth, like the ones that we see more and more frequently among actors, journalists or TV presenters.
Straightening the teeth
The Invisalign orthodontic treatment is an invisible dental brace that straightens the teeth. The aligners are custom made. They are made of a high-strength thermoplastic material which adjusts perfectly to the teeth.
Using unique 3D software, the orthodontist can control the precise movements of the teeth and can make any necessary corrections in real time during the treatment.
The patient visualises how the smile will change. They remain motivated throughout the process. The patient starts to take better care of their teeth because they are able to better understand and control the progress of the treatment.
Tooth whitening removes discolouration from the enamel and dentin. The teeth regain dazzling whiteness in just one session.
The dentist covers the lips and gums in order to leave only the teeth exposed. He then applies a whitening gel, consisting of 6% concentrated hydrogen peroxide. The light from the Zoom lamp and the gel interact to gently penetrate into the teeth and remove stains and discolouration while preserving the tooth structure.
In certain cases, to optimise the results, the dentist will recommend wearing a mouthpiece with a whitening product for several hours in the three days following the session.
