Peeling

This technique consists of carrying out a natural exfoliation on the epidermis and dermis. The treatment's depth of action depends on the extent of the skin imperfections to be treated.

Indications

A huge number of indications can be treated with the peeling technique :

Dull complexion

This is caused by poor circulation leading to vasoconstriction of the blood vessels. Pollution, smoking, lack of hydration, creams which are not suitable for your skin type, stress, etc. There are many causes of dull complexions !

Coloured dark circles

They are brought about by a change in the skin colour under the eyes which is darker. Different shades are possible: browny, blueish or purplish. Dark circles are constitutional or they may be caused by fatigue, smoking, etc. They accentuate a tired appearance.

Oily and acne prone skin

Oily skin is characterised by excessive sebum production. Dead skin cells, bacteria and dirt accumulate more easily and clog the pores, which leads to the formation of blackheads (comedones) and spots.

Acne scars

After years of acne, it is not unusual for small scars to mark the face and give the skin an uneven texture.

Pigment spots

They are caused by exposure to sunlight and UV in general. They are melanin deposits in the thickness of the skin. The pregnancy mask (melasma) is also very common. It manifests itself in a brown pigmentation of the face, which is sometimes triggered following a pregnancy or after taking an oral contraceptive.

The signs of ageing skin

Ageing is evident by the formation of fine lines and wrinkles and the loss of skin firmness.

How the session works

Peeling comprises applying a chemical substance to the skin, in order to cause a limited and controlled destruction of the epidermis or of the superficial and deep layers of the dermis.

The doctor chooses the concentration of the active ingredients to suit each patient.

  • Female or male skin: Women have thinner and more delicate skin than men, whose skin texture is thicker and less flexible.
  • Young or mature skin: Before the age of 45 years, the focus is mainly on a maintenance and prevention process. Beyond this age, the skin needs a deeper treatment to regain its radiance.
  • Fair, dull or dark skin: There are now treatments that can treat all pigmentations without any risks, but not for all indications.

After having cleansed and cleaned the face, the doctor applies the acid solution and allows it to act for between at least 30 seconds and up to 2 minutes. When the skin starts to turn red and tingle, he rinses the face with water.

After the session, the patient applies a cream to protect, repair and soothe the skin for 3 to 7 days.

The peel contributes to the renewal of skin cells and all the apparent flaws are eliminated.

At the surface level, the dead skin cells are eliminated and replaced by younger and fresher cells. The face regains a radiant complexion.

Coup d'éclat

At the middle level, the active chemical ingredients act on the dermis in a selective way depending on the skin defect to be treated.

Rajeunissement

The production of elastic fibres and collagen is stimulated, which reduces wrinkles and firms the skin.

Acné

The excess sebum is controlled, preventing the formation of comedones (blackheads) and acne outbreaks.

Yellow Peel

The synthesis of melanin is inhibited, preventing hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure.
