Pectoral implants give the chest a more muscular and athletic appearance. As slender men well know, bodybuilding exercises alone are not enough! Fitting pectoral implants is therefore the most effective solution.
Pectoral implants are suitable for young men who have n insufficiently developed chests or older men whose chests have loosened.
The pectoral muscles, which are located on the chest, are divided into two muscle groups: the pectoralis major on the lower part and the pectoralis minor on the upper part. For some men, weight training exercises to develop these muscles alternately fail to develop the pectoral muscles sufficiently.
The only solution to have a muscular torso is therefore to have implants installed.
How the procedure works
The installation of pectoral implants is done under general anaesthetic, with one night in hospital and lasts about 1 hour 30 mins.
The pectoral implant consists of a smooth envelope filled with a highly cohesive silicone gel. There are different shapes and sizes which are well suited to the morphology of the male torso.
The surgeon makes a vertical incision of about five centimetres, which is concealed in the armpit. The scars are therefore invisible. The practitioner then places the implant in a space under the pectoralis major muscle.
He then does the stitches with absorbable sutures and places a modeling bandage on the torso.
After the procedure
The pain is not significant and is managed well by painkillers. It gradually fades during the first week. Oedema and bruising, as well as discomfort when lifting the arms, may persist for several weeks.
The patient wears a contention bolero day and night for one month to keep the pectoral implants in place. The patient can resume daily activities after 1 week, return to work after 1 to 2 weeks and play sports again after 2 months.
The results are visible immediately after the operation. The torso has a natural and muscular appearance. The pectoral muscles are well drawn and have more projection. Muscular function is not hindered.
Pectoral implants can be worn life or removed at the patient's request.
